Mathemalchemy

What began as the brainchild of Ingrid Daubechies, a renowned mathematician, evolved into a massive project involving more than two dozen artists, scholars, and mathematicians. The whimsical (and serious) project is chronicled in this (relatively short) documentary video.

A Soccer Family

In 2006, for a project in the MA program in Journalism and Mass Communications at UNC, a group of students and faculty members went to a small island off the coast of Chile to document life on the island. hortlab

This is one of a series of videos, made over six weeks in Barcelona, about different types of urban gardens. Hort/lab is a project by Cris Reguant which will allow people living in high-rise buildings, who may not have access to a local community garden, or may not be ambulatory enough to get outside to garden, the opportunity to garden on their terrace or roof. Hort/lab is about having fresh vegetables and herbs with immediate access.
