As indicated in my bio, I love to travel internationally. In the past decade, my focus for international travel has turned from pleasure- or education-focused to almost requiring that I find work to do while abroad. Sometimes this simply means short videos about particular places, but mostly I look for the stories present in the people of those places.
This is one of a series of videos, made over six weeks in Barcelona, about different types of urban gardens. Can Masdeu is a communal-living project on the outskirts of Barcelona, Spain, where 30 people experiment with various approaches to living sustainably together. The community began from a group of people squatting in an abandoned hospital, where they have remained since 2001.
Prepared for Urban Planet Mobile for Barcelona meeting of mobile phone content carriers. Client prepared vast majority of script and we worked with them to make it fit the parameters desired, working within a restricted budget. All parties were happy with the outcome.
